Network Partner Helps Small Businesses Grow with a Unified HR and Payroll System

See how Paymint partners with isolved to scale HR services for clients, from payroll and tax compliance to onboarding, time tracking and benefits administration.

When Amanda Razzi founded Paymint, she wanted employers across New Jersey and Pennsylvania to have a human resources (HR) and payroll provider that understood the realities of running a small- or mid-sized business. “I really wanted to give small businesses another option in the marketplace that felt like themselves,” she said.

For her clients, accuracy is essential, especially around tax filing and having reliable payroll support is a critical part of that. “At the end of the day, people want to know their taxes are getting paid on time and accurately every single time without question,” she said.

To deliver that experience from day one, Razzi needed to find the right combination of technology and customer support.

Hear how Paymint Founder and owner Amanda Razzi partners with isolved to run payroll, streamline onboarding and provide a better day-to-day experience for the small businesses she supports.

Understanding the Realities Small Businesses Face

Paymint’s clients operate in fast-moving environments where HR and payroll functions don’t always happen behind a desk. A construction hire may complete onboarding and need to submit the required employee data at a job site. A retail team may recruit and onboard new hires without a formal HR process. Plus, each locality across New Jersey and Pennsylvania has its own payroll tax laws and requirements.

“Everybody wants obviously the payroll, HR, direct deposit, time and attendance,” Razzi said. “But when you get into the onboarding, what does it look like if you’re hiring me to do construction? … And how can we make that more efficient for them?”

Hiring is another challenge she hears often. Many clients struggle to find qualified candidates or move them through the process quickly, making an all-in-one HR solution that connects every part of the employee experience even more important.

An All-in-One Platform for Every Stage of Growth

From the start, Razzi knew the type of payroll software and integrations she wanted behind her services. “I knew I wanted to use the absolute best technology out there,” she said. “That’s why I picked isolved.”

The tax engine stood out immediately. “It has the by far most robust tax engine,” she said. With clients across multiple jurisdictions for local, state and federal taxes, she needed a payroll company that could help her maintain tax compliance, improve accuracy and work “seamlessly and automatically.”

“I need something that is going to automate as much as possible for me and for my business. I need a system that can do that without me having to think twice. It just gives me peace of mind to know everything is taken care of in the background.”

— Amanda Razzi, Founder and Owner at Paymint

As business needs evolve, Razzi can support her clients without switching systems or stitching together new tools. Instead, she can manage everything from automated payroll processing and time tracking to onboarding, HR services, benefits administration and tax compliance all through one user-friendly system.

“As they grow from 25 employees to 55, we can grow with them,” Razzi said. “We can turn on and set up the different parts of the isolved platform that is created in one instance. So, nothing is, you know, integrated or having to move data. It's all one platform, which is a huge game-changer in the market.”

Customer Support Backed by a Strong Partner Community

Razzi relies on a range of resources through the platform. She reaches out to the customer support team weekly to better serve the small businesses she works with. She also uses the isolved University to revisit features, learn new workflows and access articles and on-demand videos on employee benefits, payroll solutions, tax forms and more.

That level of support extends beyond the platform. What also stood out to Razzi is the isolved Network. As a Network Partner, Paymint manages its own client service and implementation, but remains part of a larger community of payroll service providers, administrative services organizations (ASOs) and professional employer organizations (PEOs) that use the same platform.

“It’s a really incredible network,” she said. “It’s like nothing I’ve ever been part of before.”

A Better Experience for Clients and Their Employees

Once Paymint began onboarding clients to the payroll software, Razzi saw how quickly they adapted. “They really like the system because they can navigate it super easily,” she said. “Their employees really love it.”

With employee self-service tools and the mobile app, her clients’ team members can manage their own employee data, submit time-off requests, change direct deposit settings and access pay stubs on their own. That shift saves time for everyone. “It just makes it so much easier for the business owners to keep doing what they’re doing,” Razzi said.

The platform’s customized reporting tools and people analytics also support her work. She uses these insights to help businesses understand labor distribution and payroll data, and to make data-driven decisions in real time.

With administrative tasks handled in one system, Razzi can focus on what matters most: listening to her clients, understanding their business needs and helping them plan ahead.
