Forward-thinking Benefit Services Agency Enables Peace of Mind

Insurance professionals looking to help their clients manage their benefits want to offer a cost-effective solution. The Strategic Group (TSG) is a true partner agency. Founded in 2003 as Strategic Employee Benefits Services of Tampa Bay, TSG specializes in group benefit programs for small to mid-sized businesses. Protecting their clients’ financial security is their primary objective and they put their trust in isolved to help them achieve it.

Those are the main reasons Peggy Pascua, Benefits Consultant, says TSG recommends isolved to their clients. The partnership began in 2003 with an agency agreement to write POP plans for their clients and has expanded to COBRA, HSA, HRA and Compliance resources.

The commitment to their clients is apparent with the progression of their COBRA offerings. Before using isolved, TSG offered a low-cost, mass-produced COBRA service. It was inexpensive, but it put all the work on the client to administer, and the updates were very difficult to track.

They quickly saw a gap in the level of service and report tracking and turned to isolved to add COBRA services. According to Pascua, “isolved was certainly the step up for a more professional viewpoint and we knew the fiduciary responsibility was going to protect our clients without any worry.”  With isolved, “we look GOOD!” says Pascua.

Pascua considers this peace of mind to be a key result their clients have experienced since partnering isolved, “the end user saves time in adding a COBRA member, saves sleepless nights worrying about misinformation and is assured knowing the process is taken care of.”

Speaking of peace of mind, Pascua praises the ease of working with isolved from a partner perspective. She attributes it to having access to a qualified group of customer services team members that “can answer questions with certainty” and the fast and seamless set up.

Pleased with the partnership, Pascua is confident in referring isolved to other brokers: “We have other agents that have called upon us for assistance in new roles and we have referred them to isolved.”

What’s next on the horizon for TSG? Like many forward-thinking brokers, the agency would like to help their clients solve other workforce challenges. The agency recognizes that brokers with a deep understanding of human capital management (HCM) have an advantage because they can take on a more consultative role with their clients. And according to Pascua, it’s something TSG is interested in exploring to elevate their agency and position them for future success.
