Mavis Tire has grown into one of the largest independent tire and automotive service retailers in the U.S.

Without a strong hiring system in place, the acquisition could have resulted in staffing shortages, hiring delays and recruitment difficulties across multiple states. Many of the newly acquired locations had managers who were used to long turnaround times in hiring. But once they were set up with isolved Talent Acquisition, they quickly saw a difference.

“Many of these managers were used to long turnaround times for getting applicants assigned to them and hired,” said Jenna Merritt, a talent acquisition analyst at Mavis Tire. “But after each training session, they said they loved the system and thought it was far more intuitive than what they had used before.”

Store managers handled hiring independently, making it difficult for the corporate team to track applications or maintain consistency across locations. A five-page paper application discouraged candidates, leading to high drop-off rates and a slower hiring process.

Multi-state compliance added another layer of complexity. Each store had different tax and hiring requirements, and managing paperwork manually led to errors, delays and administrative burdens.

Integration with job boards like Indeed improved applicant flow, while QuickApply features made it easier for candidates to complete applications, reducing drop-off rates. Customized reporting also gave the company better visibility into hiring trends, helping the team track progress and make data-driven decisions.

“HireForms has been really helpful in having all of our mandated state forms for all of our different stores,” said Merritt. “Our previous issues included difficulty storing and retrieving information, errors in paperwork due to handwriting versus digital forms, and manual data entry mistakes."

Higher application completion rates meant more candidates successfully submitted applications, leading to a stronger hiring pipeline. Automated status updates kept applicants informed, reducing uncertainty and improving transparency.

Onboarding also became more efficient. Instead of dealing with scattered paperwork, isolved Talent Acquisition helped the company organize new hire documentation, ensure compliance and move employees into their roles faster. “It’s kind of a one-stop shop for our team to be able to onboard new hires. It makes it so much easier for us and saves a lot of time overall.”

Hiring managers also gained direct access to applications, making it easier to review candidates, collaborate with HR and make hiring decisions faster.
